Integrated Acupuncture + Bodywork

Integrated Acupuncture Bodywork

Integrated Acupuncture Bodywork combines acupuncture, intuitive hands-on therapy, energy work, and adjunct techniques such as cupping and gua sha to address pain and injury, regulate stress and the nervous system, and support overall health and balance.

Unlike many acupuncture sessions that are brief or protocol-based, this work is intentionally unrushed. Each appointment is held within a 90-minute container and includes 75 minutes of treatment, allowing space for thoughtful conversation, deeper regulation, and truly personalized care. Rather than following a set formula, every session is guided in real time, meeting your body where it is and responding to what it needs that day.

Through over 12 years of clinical experience, I’ve found that combining acupuncture with personalized bodywork and energy work, and allowing adequate time for the body to respond, leads to more meaningful and longer-lasting results.

What to Expect

Your treatment begins with a check-in to understand how you’re feeling and what you’d like support with that day. Treatment may include acupuncture, hands-on bodywork, energy work, and supportive techniques such as cupping or gua sha. Not every session will include every modality; care is always tailored to your needs in the moment.

Some treatments are quieter and deeply restorative, while others are more movement-based and physical. You may experience deep relaxation, emotional release, or noticeable shifts in pain, mobility, or overall regulation. You will leave feeling calmer, more grounded, and better connected to your body.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do all sessions include needles?
Not necessarily. Acupuncture often plays a central role, but the balance of needles, hands-on work, and other techniques varies each session and is always adjusted to your comfort level.

How is this different from a standard acupuncture session?
This approach is slower, more integrated, and more personalized. Instead of a short, protocol-based visit, you receive extended hands-on treatment within a longer session, allowing for deeper regulation and longer-lasting results.

Why not acupuncture only?
While acupuncture on its own can be effective, I’ve found over more than 12 years of practice that combining acupuncture with hands-on bodywork and energy work, and allowing enough time for the body to respond, leads to more meaningful and longer-lasting results. This integrated approach allows me to address both the internal and structural layers at the same time, rather than treating them separately or in a rushed way.

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement. You may remain clothed for parts of the session or be draped appropriately during hands-on work.

How many treatments will I need?
It depends on your needs. Some people benefit from a short series, while many maintain results with monthly sessions.

Is this treatment painful?
Most people find the work gentle and supportive. Some techniques may create brief sensations or tenderness, but care is always responsive and within your tolerance.

Is this covered by insurance?
Sessions are offered as private-pay care. A superbill can be provided upon request for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
