Integrated Acupuncture + Bodywork

Integrated Acupuncture + Bodywork

Individualized, Hands-On Care

Your body is different every time you walk through my door. Pain, stress, sleep, hormones, emotions, and everyday life all affect how you feel and what you need.

Instead of following the same treatment protocol each time, I let your body be the guide.

Integrated Acupuncture + Bodywork combines acupuncture, therapeutic bodywork, and energy work in one treatment. Depending on what you need that day, we may also use dry needling, Tui Na massage, cupping, gua sha, heat therapy, stretching, or movement.

After more than 12 years in practice, I've found that folks tend to respond more quickly when acupuncture and bodywork are used together. With stand-alone acupuncture, it often took around six weekly treatments to see meaningful improvement. With Integrated Acupuncture + Bodywork, I now often see patients begin feeling better within 1–3 treatments.

That difference is a big part of why this has become my approach to in-person care.

Once they're feeling better, many of my patients choose to come in monthly to maintain their progress and keep their bodies feeling and functioning well.

When Herbal Medicine May Be a Better Fit

For chronic, complex, or internal health concerns, Herbal Medicine often provides the deeper, more consistent support your body needs.

For some conditions, the best approach is a combination of Herbal Medicine and Integrated Acupuncture + Bodywork, allowing us to support your health both between visits and through hands-on care.

What About Targeted Acupuncture?

Shorter Targeted Acupuncture treatments are available for long-term established patients whose bodies, health histories, and treatment patterns I already know well.

If you're new to my practice, Integrated Acupuncture + Bodywork is the place to start. It gives us the time and flexibility to understand what's going on and work with what your body needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

DO ALL SESSIONS INCLUDE NEEDLES?

Not necessarily. Acupuncture often plays a central role, but the balance of acupuncture, bodywork, and other techniques varies with each treatment and your comfort level.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement. You may remain clothed for portions of your treatment or be appropriately draped during hands-on bodywork.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Everyone is different. In my practice, many patients begin feeling improvement within 1–3 treatments.

You may benefit from several treatments closer together at first. Once you're feeling better, many patients choose to come in about once a month for ongoing care.

IS TREATMENT PAINFUL?

Most people find treatment gentle and supportive. Some techniques may create brief sensations or tenderness, but your comfort is always part of the treatment.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

I am out-of-network with all insurance plans. HSA/FSA cards are accepted, and I can provide a superbill if you'd like to seek reimbursement directly from your insurance provider.
