Why work with Amy
Care That Starts With Listening
People usually find me after years of trying to feel better without feeling heard or having someone look at the whole picture.
I believe you are the highest authority on your own body and your health. My job is to listen to you and your body and figure out how to help you feel better.
I'm also a trauma-informed provider. I want you to feel safe and comfortable in my care.
Sometimes the best fit is Herbal Medicine. Sometimes it's Acupuncture. Sometimes it's a combination of things. And sometimes it's referring you to someone who can help you better.
Your care should fit you... not the other way around.
Your Body Is Always Speaking
Chinese medicine has its own way of understanding what your body is telling us. Your sleep, digestion, pain, energy, emotions, menstrual cycle, temperature, appetite, and even the little symptoms that don't seem connected all give us information.
We don't always need a lab test to know that something is out of balance. Chinese medicine has its own diagnostic system for putting those pieces together and seeing the bigger picture.
With more than 12 years in practice, I'm skilled at listening to those clues and listening to you, so we can understand what your body is asking for.
Your body is always speaking. We just have to listen.
You Are Part of Your Care
I don't want to be more invested in your health than you are.
We're a team. I want you to understand your body, ask questions, make your own decisions, and have tools you can use long after you leave the clinic.
I don't drag people through endless treatment plans or keep you coming simply because that's what a protocol says.
We treat. We see how your body responds. We adjust.
The goal is quality of life: greater resilience and feeling more at home in your body.
A Little About Me
I'm an Acupuncture Physician, board-certified Chinese herbalist, and doctoral candidate with 12+ years of clinical experience, with an emphasis on women's health.
I've completed additional training in homebirth midwifery (although I am not a midwife), obstetric acupuncture, and as a birth doula, and I currently serve as the staff acupuncturist at Serenity for Life.
My work has also taken me outside my own community, including volunteering in Guatemala.
Outside the clinic, I'm a nationally ranked Strongwoman, an avid hiker, and a mom raising two kids to love and be good stewards of the mountains we call home.
Mountain Remedy is a welcoming and affirming space for LGBTQ+ patients and families. You are welcome here exactly as you are.
Why I Still Do This
It's pretty simple. I love seeing people feel better.
I believe deeply in the body's ability to heal when it's given the right support and a blueprint for healing.
Ultimately, I want you to feel at home in your body.
